The IMF also announced today that Bank of Canada was right to raise interest rates. That only reaffirms the strength Canadian dollar to the UK pound.

The Ontario government passed legislation sometime last year I believe that allows you to exchange your UK license for an Ontario license. I think it costs about $50 and you must surrender your UK...
