Its certainly a concern that I could get my "indefinite" RRV leave NZ for 3-4 years and not be allowed in on my return. Surely I would have a good case for at least a 14 day RRV as the requirements...

I was under the impression that if I stayed in NZ for the first two years my returning residents visa would then be renewed with no end date,
