Posted a while ago searching for black peas, never could find "maple peas" but found out that black beans if cooked slowly for about 6 hours taste nearly the same!
Hubby and friend made the "guy"...

Turns out they may be Maple Peas....I will find some and do a trial run and let you all know...

Yes, a real Lancashire lass! Every year had black peas..a type of pea that you have to soak overnight then boil for about 3 hours. They go all mushy and taste great with loads of vinegar and salt. ...

It just seems a shame that the area does not have a good mix of people of all ages. Collingwood has been an industrial town of some sort but as I said the majority of those industries are closing...

We applied for citizenship November 2006 and were sworn in March 2007, so not too long. Took the oath in Mississagua. Think its pretty quick at the moment.

Thanks for your thoughts. Hopefully he wont want to do that much driving as getting around is so much easier on public transport than here and much much cheaper! He is a pretty good driver though...

yes we are collingwood, so we had to go down to mississauga for our test and oath. Might be able to go down the states now without fingerprints and photo being taken!!
