We landed at Edmonton International on 31 Jan. Weather a 'cool' minus 25 C at arrival time, around 3 pm.

Principal applicant landing - proof of funds

Expect to soon collect passports with PR visas from CHC (received PPR earlier this month).

We are a family of three with I being the principal applicant.

As I understand it, if you have arranged employment i.e. with HRDC approval, then you are NOT required to furnish proof of funds.

I'm sure someone will correct me I don't have it right.

Please could you clarify if it is quite acceptable to bring cash, and no bank statement?

Or does immigration like to see itemized bank statement to track the history of funds in account.

It might have been simpler to not take up the position in UK and instead await PR to come through. But if there's one thing that’s predictable it’s the unpredictability of CHC...
