Re: Awkward

Lorna - I wish I'd been there to see that Italian teacher's reaction when she was shown those historical documents. What an uneducated person she was!

C.2s - in terms of trade and economy, we're...

Re: Awkward

Nice one!

Re C.2s I'm in category 3 (or maybe 2) on your scale of entitlement. My late grannies met each other when they were in a bomb shelter - they got married after the war. They...

Re: Awkward

It's easy to teach English in totalitarian countries.

You teach the military officers the imperative. All they do is give orders.

You teach the police officers the interrogative. All they do is...

Re: Awkward

Have fun teaching English to the cadets! I guess you'll be able to decide whether to mention it or not once you've met the group.

I remember one of my former colleagues from Oz complaining about...

Re: Venice Tourist Tax

I certainly wouldn't mind paying a fiver to visit Venice at weekends - but I never do it anyway.

Spot checks, mmm. I wonder how the Italians are going to enforce it. Seal off the city with border...

Re: Anyone had recent problems with passport stamps? And EES query.

Just happened at Milan Malpensa airport - so I followed the advice of 'actively' waving my permanent residence card before passport. The border officer stamped my passport anyway.

It doesn't make...

Re: Miss the UK. Need advice on moving back.

Thank you for clarifying this. If you had kept on reading my reply, you should have noticed that I knew he wasn't born in the UK at the time of writing.

For your convenience, here it is:

Re: Miss the UK. Need advice on moving back.

For the OP

If your grandfather was born in the UK and you only have Israeli nationality, the key question is whether you were born in the UK to your British parent who is your grandfather's child....

Re: Uk passport renewal from Italy

I think so - if online payment is made before 11 April.

I usually show my WA residence card before I give them my passport.

Re: Uk passport renewal from Italy

That must have been an unsettling experience. Good to hear it went swimmingly the second time round - with UPS!

Poste Italiane is a bit of a joke. Up until 2020, I would get bank statements from...

Re: S1 NHS Form
