Don't worry, exactly the same thing happened to us - still got our visas through in less than two months! If you do end up corresponding with them about it, just make sure you're suitably apologetic....

Partly preloaded 137 (STNI Victoria) received by ASPC on 6 September. Sent PCCs when they arrived and were received by ASPC on 5 October. Visa granted this morning.

It is indeed 12 months from date of med or PCC (whichever earliest) but my understanding is, worst case scenario you could always get the meds and PCCs done again if you run out of time - costly, but...
