It does seem to be that they have lost our biometric data, and we need to go back to redo it. Though it doesn't make complete sense as this delay getting the card has been affecting people throughout...

I am not certain, but I believe this is nationwide, not just Budapest. I have heard from people all over Hungary that have been waiting a month or more for their cards.

With luck yours will be ready soon. She said 4 or 5 weeks was most likely, but even 8 weeks was still possible.

Yes, it does seem that definately something unusual is going on. I applied on June 21st in Budapest, the lady only asked me to fill out a couple of extra questions that weren't required on the online...
