Re: Any Single Parents out there?

Well, somewhat in advance then, welcome back! Do you have a network here to return to or are you starting from scratch?

Just wondering if anyone's immediately South of the River - South Perth, Como, Manning, Salter Point, Vic Park, Kensington etc. Just looking to extend my network a bit - always welcome expats :)

Re: Wesley College/Private schools

Probably too late with my reply to help as I don't frequent BE as much as I used to but I have a son at Wesley (live in Como) and he's thrived there. I'll agree with the stuck up parents bit - there...

Re: Capital Investment Bond

It may be quicker but I believe at least 4 weeks would be within the 'normal' range. That's really not that long ;)

Re: Capital Investment Bond

Hi Nadine - the money for the bond was sent across on 25th April so I don't expect any movement any time soon as such. Possibly another 4-8 weeks before the visa is granted.

Re: Capital Investment Bond

Apparently just 28 days so we're going to have to move pretty swiftly. OH's meds were lodged back in December. I believe the usual time-line from meds being received to the bond being requested is...

Re: Capital Investment Bond

No problem.

Re: Capital Investment Bond

Then I have been misinformed - I called the WA lot directly as I am here in Perth and I was told that the bond application is unable to go ahead with the bank account information being filled in. ...

Re: Capital Investment Bond

Same issue - going with NT because of WA needing the bank account. Commonwealth have an account that so long as you are 'verified' locally (in the US at the Bank of America - not sure about the UK),...
