Cool Anyone here in Como/South Perth area?

Just wondering if anyone's immediately South of the River - South Perth, Como, Manning, Salter Point, Vic Park, Kensington etc. Just looking to extend my network a bit - always welcome expats

I know a few people who do at work but some of them are a bit pricey I believe. They either bought years ago or made equity out of the boom recently.

I also used to work with a guy from Vic Park and he said it was rough. It has been in the news a lot recently for the wrong reasons.

we're still here!
Do love Como really, there must be more expats in these suburbs to arrange a meet-up?

They aren't traditionally suburbs where people go because of the prices. My husband earns good money but we couldn't afford to buy there.

Cracking - consider it done. Even have McVitie's digestives to serve up with it!

We will be living in the area. Had a house there for 5 years but never lived in it. Hope to be in there soon.

Well, somewhat in advance then, welcome back! Do you have a network here to return to or are you starting from scratch?

My wife has family . She has been away 10 years now so in some ways its all new for her. She is already back there I am back in UK tying up loose ends.
She is slowly re-building a network through the kids mainly ( 2 and 4 yr boys) but that is all at her parents place so we will have to start over when we move down there.
Right now - except for one new mate - all my network is through her.

Similar situation I guess - My mother is Australian (so therefore I am) - my boys are 2 1/2 and 6 so similar ages. I have family here but they don't seem the friendliest bunch so I've just got on with things without them. Where do your boys go to school? - well, the eldest one anyway.

My 4 yr old is now in school in Kalamunda. My wife has just got him registered at South Perth Primary for next year. I have been browsing their website. It seems like a great place with loads of activities for the kids.
Where do your boys go ?

I hear he's already a pillar of Kalamunda society. Well done Aston !
I just missed him when I was there in June. He'll probably be mayor by the time I get back
