Hi Jenna,

Mackay is very similar...only TSV is alot bigger, so if you like it there you should like it here. Florida summer and ours are very very different, our temps can be 45c with 100%...

We have lived in Townsville for 8yrs from the UK. We really do love it, I wouldn't say you get sick of the very hot summers, as you really just learn how lucky you are to have your own...

I agree with you, its great to visit on even holiday on, but to stay for a year... you would get very bored and be broke as its soooo expensive. I think its a fab place to visit for a long weekend:)

She would like to drop to .8 per fte so dropping one shift per week, I will tell her to keep on at immigration until she gets an answer....she can ask for PR visa once she has worked there for 3mths,...

My mate has come over on a 457 visa, she is a nurse at the hospital I work at.
She wishes to see if she can reduce her hours from full time as they are struggling with childcare for her...

I think you have to make your own mind up wherever you go, I can only speak for the hospital I work in and ones my friends work at....Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Brisbane...all excellent....

The whole hospital is expanding as its just not big enough to cope with the areas it covers...so yes, mental health included. Not sure by how much but can certainly find out for you as I deal with...

me too, does'nt matter where you trained or where you go, you will get good and bad nursing...same as any job. Its not where you train its how you use that training...Love my job and love working...
