I decided to buy the whole amount as I am not sure which years were contracted out.

The 2006/7-2019/20 gets me to 35 and 20/21 would get me to 36 but I was contracted out for at least one year so...

UK born and bred but USA resident since 1999. I opened an AJ Bell SIPP Feb 2020 and transferred in a defined contribution scheme. Transfer was easy, quick, took about 5 days start to finish.
