Have you thought about applying at POE? This may of course be moot if you have already submitted your application. It’s a scary one, but that’s what we did as my other half had a LMIA approved job...

No after consideration he decided not to pursue (which in hindsight was a bad plan and I did tell him this!), as the job was based in NB and he really wanted to go to BC. So we parked the idea...

Thanks for the reply christmasoompa. The record info was what came through after he attended the police station asking to access his criminal record. He had to take ID, passport, driving licence etc...

....and is also why he is not coming on the family trip this year to visit my brother and his family in the US.
