While I fully agree that the warmer climate here in Cyprus is much better for most people than in the U.K.(when we don't get the dust in the air from North Africa that has become much more frequent...

This is probably because not many ex-pats go to live in Nicosia?Most choose Paphos,Limassol and Larnaca areas near the coast.

As we are considering retiring to Spain and our son and his family live in Barcelona, we were thinking about places within and hour or so of them, not far from the coast and with some nice scenery...
