Can a UK citizen with nothing more than a tourist visa buy and own a property in Aus and let it out...bit like timeshare in...

No you wont fail. Our friends who collected their visas yesterday did the exact same thing. Adelaide just ask for the originals a couple of weeks after they sent the application. No real hassle just...

But seriously if they have not got them back to you after 49 days they are breaking the law!! Complain! They can look your name up on...

I have found to my dismay that the Police Checks are taking the full 40 days allowed by the Data Protection act 1988.
We have a reciept showing that the Police recieved our applications on the 11th...
