We can't find our marriage certificate. I'm wondering if this is imperative?

My husband also can't find his British birth certificate....but he has his UK passport.

It also looks like we won't...

If we get settled then have him sent over, is it okay for him to travel without a human? Like, I could just have my dad drop...

He's eligible for US citizenship now....but from what I understand that's an even more expensive option, which is why we haven't done it yet.

Went to apply for the consular birth registration and the website clearly says it has to be original documents of passports.

Someone here said it could be certified copies? How do I get them...

That's a good point about doing it all over again in reverse. We're definitely coming back to the US in a year.

Hmmm QM2 sounds like a lot of work. How long does that trip take? I also have a toddler.

DH is a green card holder, doesn't expire for many years (he has the 10 year card) and has lived in the US...

I just know that most US students need to get visas for their dependents, but I don't want to do that if I don't have to since he will be British soon enough.
