Re: Will we look back in time, and say we bought at the bottom in 2014

Very few people who "actually work for a living and produce stuff" can do so without working capital. Treating interest and dividend income as unearned and applying a draconian tax on capital gains...

Re: Euro pound parity

They have the same owners but different editorial staff.

Not quite sure why you need to feel "moved to read either" to find out who owns them. Use your search engine like anyone else would do.

Re: MOVING TO SPAIN PRIOR BREXIT

Oh, my mistake, I thought you were in Germany, the country which screws all of the weaker members of the Eurozone for its own benefit, which forces massive austerity on Greece after encouraging them...

Re: Airport delays

The delays are at the Schengen airports, not the UK ones.
It's a bit tricky to grasp at first.....

Re: Airport delays

Why can't the Spanish Authorities be given the passenger manifest before the plane leaves the UK or before the passengers arrive at the airport for the return journey?

They could do all the...

Re: Buy or Rent

One other element that has affected our decision is the cost of buying.
We were looking at apartments in Valencia last month and the 15% cost in addition to the purchase price was a step too far for...

Re: Can you buy Viagra in pharmacia ?

There was a lorry load stolen recently near here by an armed, masked gang.
Police are looking for a bunch of hardened criminals.

Re: the attitudes of brexit and holidaymakers

Well they don't have them now, they either have one way requirements as with the USA or no requirements at all, as with Brazil
Why are you hoping that the EU makes it onerous for UK tourists to...

Re: the attitudes of brexit and holidaymakers

If you mean by hard brexit that we will operate outside the single market and outside the customs union then that will put us in the same category as most of the countries I mentioned earlier so that...

Re: the attitudes of brexit and holidaymakers

I doubt it.

Re: the attitudes of brexit and holidaymakers

Interesting point.
Right now the Americans, the Canadians and the Australians charge the British for their online "visa" applications but the UK doesn't reciprocate.
Good way to raise money, as you...

Re: the attitudes of brexit and holidaymakers

Maybe UK citizens will need a visa to enter EU countries in the future but it will be an online version just as we do today for the USA or Canada or Australia or India etc. No big deal.

Fortunately, as we live in...
