I know, not something I would have ever considered before but my circumstances don't make it possible to get over. Plus, at this time of the year there are very few long term rentals to choose from....

That's the thing, I do like dogs. I have a small dog but he is pretty old and will probably be gone by the time I buy somewhere. It's some of the owners I don't like. I was disgusted by the way dogs...

Horlicks, that would be great if it is true because it is our only residence. I suppose that's why I am frustrated, I wouldn't pay CGT in the UK if I sold up and then moved into a rental so it seems...

If I go over on inspection trips before 1 July do i have to count those days towards my residency status time. I don't want to end up paying CGT for the sake of being 30 days or so over.

Unfortunately Ayamonte doesn't suit as we will be travelling back to the UK frequently so need to be close to Alicante airport. I have stayed in Ayamonte and it is a lovely place.
