Not sure if anyone will have this info, but I'll give it a go.

My job is fairly specialised (retouching) so much so that my company is finding it hard to get US based staff to fill...

Have to say the 4 months sounds widley optimistic.

We went the DCF route here in London (which is supposed to be much faster than filing in the US) and from date of submission of I-130 (Feb 28th)...

Currently undergoing DCF via London, interview next week. My understanding is that going this route my visa is a 10 year green card, and it's valid the moment I pass through US customs...

Well, our friends in Oregon have parents in San Francisco, and I'm sure they'd help our with an address for us!

When you say 'go the US and activate the visa'...is this simply a case of turning up at immigration, and getting the stamp in the passport? Or does it involve any length...
