Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

Congratulations on your approval! I received a notification that my visa was ready for collection no more than 3 days after my status changed to issued.
You should have yours in no time!

Re: After submitting documents

Hi,

I received a 221g after my interview on 16/10/2017, regarding our joint sponsor.

The embassy said I could email the documents, so I emailed them on 24th in the evening. The date on CEAC...

Re: CR1 Application Timeline

If all goes well with my interview next month, the whole process will have taken us exactly 10 months. It probably would have been 8 months, but we got a checklist at the NVC stage and it slowed us...

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

I think you should do. We were told our case was complete over the phone, and didn't get that confirmation email until a week later. Hopefully it was the same for you and you get an early date.

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

They usually start scheduling interviews at the end of the month. Our case was completed at the NVC on 31st August, but I missed the first batch of interview dates that were given out in early...

Re: Submitting documents to NVC.

Yes, that's what we did! NVC accepts copies, just bring the original documents to the interview. :)

Re: NVC Case Complete

Thanks, hopefully no RFE!

Good luck on getting an interview soon. I've seen some lucky people get an interview date really quickly.

Re: NVC Case Complete

Congratulations on your case complete! It's been 5 weeks since we submitted all or documents to the NVC, hopefully there are no issues and we also get a case complete in the next few weeks.

Unhappy Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

Congratulations on your approval!

We're currently at the NVC stage, we submitted our documents 3 weeks ago.

It took 3 weeks from our NOA2 to get our case and invoice number from the NVC, but we...

Re: Once I-130 is approved...

What service centre was your I-130 sent to out of interest?

We're currently at the NVC stage. It's definitely hard to make any predictions with this process.

re: New requirement for medical in London - May 2017

Yes probably. I guess I'll just wait until nearer the time. I just like having everything ready, lol. Thanks. :)

re: New requirement for medical in London - May 2017

Thanks for the information. Did they say how recent the summary needs to be?
We're at the NVC stage, so not sure if I should just wait a bit.

Re: I-130 about to file. A few questions

Hey,

I think it's hard to say how long it will take.
We got the NOA1 14/12/2016 and the I-130 was approved on 07/04 at Texas Service Centre, we're currently waiting for a case number from the...

Re: I-130 taking longer than hoped

It's been nearly 4 months for us, NOA1 was 12/14. We haven't been waiting as long as others, but it's disappointing if the NVC has slowed down.
I'm looking on the bright side though, when we get to...

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

That sounds like a plan! Even if you don't stay in Harrisburg for long, I'm sure you will have fun exploring it until your move to NY, which sounds amazing by the way, I also love NY!

There are...

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

Yes, it does seem to average at about that from what I have seen. Late summer seems feasible from your timeline.

My husband lives in New Jersey currently. I see you are headed to Harrisburg, PA....

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

No worries!

Oh OK! From what I read on another forum, they only started transferring cases there in early 2016.

I think a lot of this process is down to luck, I've seen some cases approved...

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

Thank you! Same to you!

We sent ours to the Chicago Lockbox too. However, from there your petition would have been forwarded to a Service Center to be processed.

I believe Twinkle is correct,...

Re: CR-1 Visa Timeline/Journey!

Hey,

I also got ahead of myself and ordered my police certificate already, our NOA1 for the I-130 was dated 14/12. Which service center was your petition sent to? Ours was forwarded to Texas...
