It's a legal requirement to have your US passport when departing. You don't actually need to provide to the US passport to the airline.

Thank you so much. Yes it gives their actual address at the time! Another helpful thing I found is that on the boat record, it even has my fathers intentions to be a permanent resident of Canada...
