Work permits: if your job ends before your work permit ends, or you lose your job or you quit it even, when do you have to leave Canada?

1. Food
2. Used cars (who would have thought I'd also miss the MOT to filter out some of the junk?)

Definitely landed. I asked the forum back in 2015/16 about my options when I was coming back and was told that it didn't automatically expire and that I had to either renounce or have it taken away...

Yes, in Calgary on a new work permit since November 2016.

I had PR from April 2010 and was planning to move permanently at the end of 2012. Met a woman in the UK and decided to give it a go...

Hi,

At best I have 434 points on the EE come November, mostly due to a lack of points due to my age (50) and that my previous Canadian work experience doesn't count as it was over ten years ago....

Wondering whether to start applying now or waiting until April (read on as to why!)

Here's my history:

- age 50
- on a TWP until November 2018 which needed an LMIA
- TWP many years ago...

I turned up in Calgary last month, saw a place I liked in a well managed building in the Beltline, said I'll have it, paid one month deposit, rent is a month in advance, moved in, nothing else needed.

I looked around at a number of accounts before I arrived in Calgary and in the end went for the Scotiabank newcomer start up account as it had a decent amount of facilities to get your credit history...

Depends if you have a car or not, as if like me you don't, the cumulative time getting around is different to hopping...
