Agree. Especially with the weaker GBP, just use an ATM in HK. The exchange rate, even with additional charges (if your bank does that), will provide a better deal than any forex company.

I do 15 minutes of Spanish every morning with Duolingo. I find it helps me think Spanish for the day. It helps if you get into that mindset but also to realise that language isn't something you learn...

Any assistance (like tax relief) would've been a bonus rather than a necessity and there not being any isn't a deal breaker. We'd account for 6-12 months' overheads.
