Re: EOI Rejection Appeal

We've considered that, but the risk in giving up my (highly paid) career and moving the family out there is too much without at least a smidgen of encouragement from NZ that we would be able to stay....

Re: EOI Rejection Appeal

That's nice to hear, but to be honest it's not the impression being given by NZIS London. My problem with going the WTR route is that I have to give a significant notice to my current employer, which...

EOI Rejection Appeal

Hello, I’m new to the NZ forum, and I’d appreciate advice from anyone who has been rejected at the EOI stage as to whether there is any appeals route at this stage.

Briefly, I’ve claimed...

Schooling

Having created something of a storm on one of my other threads, I retreat to something hopefully non-contentious. Can anyone point me in the direction of good website where I can research schooling...

Re: Importing an English Car

Where did I say I wasn't expecting to see foreigners in Canada? Please don't put words into my mouth.

I don't want to turn this into an immigration thread, as it was meant to be about the car, but...

As a 'classic car widdow' too I can understand your feelings about the Jenson.

Oh, I know! Six years and now it's stalking me to Canada, too....

Re: Importing an English Car

Maybe I should have been more specific. We have no control over illegal immigration in this country and have given an amnesty to almost anyone who wants to come here. This May another 10 countries...

It's still really light here! It's 9 o'clock and not much darker than daytime really. He gave up a 40 a day habit 18 months ago (and drinking 6 years ago) so you can see why I tolerate the Jensen...

Re: High Speed Internet Access / SAT TV

Thanks. I think Sky is pretty dreadful quality, too, but the family would miss it.
Good news about the Internet, I'll check those sites out.

Re: High Speed Internet Access / SAT TV

That's useful! Thanks. We're just lucky where we live, the only patch of houses for miles and miles to have what we call "Broadband". I have 1 Mb of download/upload and couldn't really manage with...

I'm dragging husband in from the garden to READ and DIGEST! Needless to say, I don't want a Jensen HERE let alone in Canada.... I'm looking forward to a big, roomy family car (4 x 4) I think he might...

I'm a web designer and need high-speed internet access to work from home.
We're looking to move to either Alberta (Calgary area) or Van Island, or possibly Okanagan Valley, BC.
Can anyone...

Actually, I'd rather sell the car here before we come, but it's been a labour of love - totally restored by my husband over the last six years. He's afraid that with the rising fuel prices here, it's...
