Once you've landed, your visa isn't valid anyway. It's a once-only entry visa, and gets a big black line through it when you land.

Your PR card and (new) passport are all you need...

Got The Visas Today!

Hi,

Passports returned today with lovely shiny visas inside! Twelve days turnaround time. Nice one, CHC! :)

I'm landing in Vancouver next Thursday, so quite a lot to do between now and then!

passports
two photos each
large self addressed envelope
the completed form they send you.

I just got myself a new passport a few weeks ago. I used the Post Office 'check and send' service which costs £7 over the normal passport price, and I got mine back through the post in a week.
