Re: Let's talk about cars

Reminds me of my Mum. Comes home one night and says to Dad & I "The windscreen washer fluid light is on" so we go outside and the car smells HOT. It's pinging like they do when they are cooling down...

Any Expats in Charleston/SC area? Considering a move to there from Midwest.

Hi All,

I'm mostly happy in the Midwest right now but do miss the coast. My wife and I took a holiday last September to Myrtle Beach and she really fell in love with South Carolina, which was...

Re: Let's talk about cars

Hey there. It's pretty good! My only complaint really are the very cold winters. It's not where I want to be the rest of my life but as a racer it's the best place to be in America and my employer...

Re: Anyone collected a car from Baltimore port?

Good to know, thanks Otto. All I know so far is it is coming in on the MV Donnington. I couldn't find which line that was, except that it is owned by Fair Wind Navigation SA.

I got called 'an arrogant s**t' today..

..for referring to myself as an Expat instead of an Immigrant. TO me they basically mean the same thing but this gentleman was quite adamant. Even saying I fitted the stereotype of an arrogant sh*t...

Re: Question on titling an imported car

Yup the shipper is sending it to Baltimore. I have used them before (not for cars) so I have no concerns in that aspect.

Re: Question on titling an imported car

Thanks Otto, I was hoping you'd chime in!

The shipping company have said they need a V5 so I'm in the process of applying for one (well, my dad is as it's his car atm). That then takes away my...

Re: Question on titling an imported car

Did you need to present the V5? Because like you say, it is not proof of ownership but for the Indiana 'Out of state vehicle transfer to Indiana' form, it says I need a certificate of origin or...

Re: Question on titling an imported car

Thanks all for the heads up, I have had the car valued and my dad is writing 'bill of sale' saying it is a gift, but we have a club valuation certificate for it.

It's a Ford Anglia 105e, so...
