I lived in Lorient; however house prices were too high for us we could get nothing below 250 000; & i m talking about a modest 2/3 bedroom with a garden near the sea. .. (within 20 km)..

The UK is an horrendous place to bring up children....I could just begin with poor maternity care; over priced child care and i would end my arguement with the fact you have to be out of restaurants...

Luckily even the french kids find school difficult so its not uncommon to retake the school year. My husband did when he was at school and he said there was no stigma attached....

We are a young family anglo/franco living in west brittany france....we are looking to move to spain temporarily for a few years just for an adventure. We are blessed in that with our job we can live...
