Re: 10 years since last trip.

I guess if you compare somewhere in Nova Scotia to within an hour of London, then yes there would be a difference in "busyness". Don't forget though, you did say that Canada was not the problem, you...

Re: 10 years since last trip.

I agree, steaks are normally cut way too thin here in the UK. It's the same in the supermarkets as well, although I have found Morrisons can have some decent steaks - usually some of the cheaper per...

Re: 6hrs to get out of the car park!

The other day at a M&S food store I had to queue for 30 minutes to checkout. I would have gone through the self-serve tills but with a pre-order (on which a deposit was paid) I couldn't use those...

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

No I haven't - I'm probably going to contact a couple of schools to begin with, but need to wait until they go back after the summer break.

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

As previously mentioned, it's not hurdle for us regarding a move to Australia.

That's much the same in the UK in regards to support for adults. People don't just "grow out of it".

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

Thanks for getting back. Your query for clarification gave an impression you may be able to help, so it confused me why you hadn't.

Not sure what you mean buddy, what outrage? I was simply...

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

Not being rude, but I seem to be awaiting any input from you on either or both threads since it was clarified for you?

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

Both. Two different children, hence different threads as somewhat different topics.

Re: Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

Don't need one - we're all both British and Australian citizens.

Moderate-Severe Autism - Schools - Melbourne

We're looking at moving to Australia in March/April. One of our children is diagnosed with autism, and currently goes to a special needs school in England.

I've had some contact with a person I...

Schools - Aspergers - SE Melbourne

We may be moving over to Australia around March/April. One of our children has a diagnosis of mild autism (previously would have been referred to as Aspergers).

The child is currently in Year 1...

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

Think I might give Bournemouth a miss if there's a chance of seeing your knackers

Re: Supreme Court Date in September

Rather than just cutting corporate welfare (i.e. working tax credits) from working people, the government should encourage companies to pay a living wage. The increase in minimum wage announced by...

Re: Ping Pong anyone?

Fairly similar with us. Currently working out when to return, will probably be between October and April for us.

Summer is ok here, for the few days we've had summer so far (this is in the south...

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

I didn't give an opinion on your (or anyone elses) view of marriage. I mentioned the ridiculousness of the view that allowing multiple spouses is the natural next step after allowing gay marriage.

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

Why do you think it might be a solution for me? I don't recall giving an opinion regarding my view of marriage - however I was responding to the ridiculousness of the view that allowing multiple...

Re: Streaming video - my experience

I thought which library (e.g. US, Canada, UK, Australia) you can access is linked to your account?

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

I don't think I've ever seen so much holding onto a 'Christian heritage' from someone who is not a Christian.

Re: Let's spice things up by resurrecting the Gay marriage debate

I don't think I'll do that. Under the definition of wacky I believe it gives UKIP as an example.

The only good thing to come from the hugely disproportionate result of the recent UK election is...

Re: Streaming video - my experience

I haven't noticed any issues with NowTV lagging in the UK.

I don't plan to continue the subscription when I get to Australia though - instead I'll probably sort out a UK Netflix account before we...
