Hi EMR,
I had 1 small room painted a few weeks ago by a Portuguese man and he charged 140 Euros including painting.
200 Euros for the whole apartment, sounds very cheap, but then again "early days"...

I have been told otherwise by other confident Expats. But I am not the kind of person who likes to be chased by police, hence I like to have everything in order even if it costs me more.

Yes, I would have imagined then when the car was stopped in the UK, they would check for MOT and similar, but like I said the car and the person were both let go undisturbed. Puzzled.

It is funny how what we think is illegal is actually not that illegal.

My previous car, UK registered, was "taken away" from Portugal to UK. In reality it was stolen but I prefer not to use this...
