Everyone, I received my EAD card yesterday in the post!!!! I can start working now.

Andy, if you have applied for an EAD, then on 91 day you can obtain interim EAD. My 91 day is Wednesday...

I believe you can work with the EAD but may need to wait to get onto the payroll of your employer until you have your SSN as sometimes employer have difficulties in adding employee on their system...
