Yep in Australia. I've emailed the city I live ins French embassy after they didn't answer the phone and nothing. They are only open two days a week as well. Hopefully I have better luck next week.

In 2014 I gave up as it was so overwhelming and I still find it confusing now but I'm more determined.

Honestly we are looking mainly at the houses that are 80kish. I think 25k is a big sign that no one would want to live there!

NW England still has a lot of cheap houses. My husband is a northener so the south isn't for us. Of course they aren't amazing houses but they tick all the boxes as a first house.

Born in Australia to French parents and her mum claims she did the citizenship process but I'm not so sure. She definitely could apply though afaik.

I may be wrong and clutching at straws but my mother is a French born Australian. So she can get citizenship. I have seen another case online where someone in another country had the same situation...

I'd agree but every single time I call the embassy they don't answer and we aren't making progress! Guess I'll keep trying!

We will just go the spouse visa route as we will meet the requirements.
