I do not own a home, and I was finishing my Masters degree while I sponsored my husband (successfully!) My income was student loans, a sizeable scholarship, and very part-time work....

Actually, only 80% of spousal cases are approved. (Wish I could send you the link of where I read that... but it was in some manual I downloaded from the CIC website.)
