What I've done in the past with TT is ignore the "1099-R Federal ID blank" error on smart check and put a line into the two explanation notes that are required for the 1099-R that the payer is a UK...

Yes I enrolled in Part A when I hit 65 but was able to exclude myself from Part B as my employer has a group health plan. The question I have though is once someone applies for SS retirement...

So looking at the pdf it still looks to me that LPR decedent to LPR spouse estate transfer, the estate would still get the $5.49 million lifetime exemption against estate tax, or am I missing...
