I'm in downtown Vancouver and I get about 7 channels, which includes one French speaking channel and one "foreign content" channel. I do get Coronation street and grand designs on one of the channels...

Don't bother with a TV package, they are all very expensive with poor content. I was paying (3yrs ago) $170 per month with Shaw for TV, Internet and home phone. This was with none of the added extras...

I phoned the HR department, as they weren't advertising for my role (I'm and ICU RN) had a phone interview and was offered the job !!!!!
Now time to move on, hopefully down to the U.S. in the next...

Oh and you can get a connector from apple so that you can watch the catch up service on your TV, but 4OD won't let you do that for some reason.

I use www.privateinternetaccess.com, it was $40 for the year. I use it for all the UK catch services. I also switch my location through my VPN on my iPad to get US netflix - much better than Canadian...
