None payable as yet, but if by some "remote" chance you do have to pay in the future, then I gan only guess by comparing Spain to Italy and then it would be around 760 euros a year.

I couldn't agree more. I'm giving up my residencia this year and will not be spending any more than 182 days in Spain in the future. Another thought which worries me is once Spain knows about my UK...

I gave the link to an expat Italian poster, another member of BE by the way, who was probably told it would not happen in Italy, ie the taxing of assets in the UK.

That does not sound like a fraudster or a tax evader to me.

The poster was taxed on an asset that was sold in the UK even before moving to Italy:confused::confused:

Meanwhile the compliers with this asset declaration are sleeping soundly in their beds.

That transposed number, mixed up sort code, long forgotton post office account, are all just floating around...

I had intended to sell 1 property in the UK before the end of the tax year ie April, and then sell another in May or June, that way the CGT allowance could have been claimed on both properties as...
