Passport arrived this morning! Four days before we travel, with of course no explanation as to why it was rejected the first time. I'm very relieved.

My timeline:

We're (hopefully) leaving August 7th for our first trip "home" in six years. I sent off my passport for renewal and name change at the end of May. It doesn't expire until next...

My list was exactly the same as Jerry's but they didn't ask for photos. There was a separate sheet asking for information from the sponsor - last three years'...

I had my fingerprinting done in Raleigh on March 31st and my experience was pretty much identical.

My husband thinks it was the same place he went to be fingerprinted when he worked for USPS. ...

Update:

We went to Charlotte the weekend it snowed! Got to the office at 6:45, were the first there. At 7:30 a guy came out and told the line of about 12 people that they weren't opening that...

Thanks, folks. Thankfully, our lawyer has prepared all our documentation, including copies of the Fed Ex receipt for July 29th (!)



The Charlotte office closes at noon, so I think we'll go...
