Couldnt live anywhere else other than Tenerife, New Farm, Newstead and possibly Paddington.

Find the outer suburbs utterly depressing.

Yeah I was thinking not including her to be honest as while her Dad is alive then she is not dependent on us.

My travel period expires and I lose the right to re-enter under an RRV visa is there a possibility you can reapply for a temp...

The problem wont be providing the evidence that a 16 year old can decide who she lives with, my spouse has a great family lawyer and im sure there are countless docs...

Surely the fact a court order is NOT required in the UK after 16 means that we would just need to prove this part..

The problem with that is you have to arrive 12 months after its granted but we could get her out on holiday then she would have years to decide.

We live in the highlands just now which I love...

The reason I feel for the dad is that I have became a dad myself. It would destroy me if someone took my daughter away at 16 and like so done said I would fight to the death.

From what you are saying is that we shouldnt even apply until my step daughter is 16 so that her fathers consent is not required? That's a biggy as were going to start applying...

When you lose your Permanent Residency you lose your super apparently?

Yeah I would much, much rather wait until she was at least 18, but we dont have that option.

Tricky one as it gives you an extra 5 years would be interested in how that would pan out.

Also isnt it not that your PR doesn't expire just the travel period? How does that work if you want to...

I think its the ONLY option if he was travelling after his travel period had expired.

I'm sure you can apply for these before it does so incase of emergency you can get back in after the expiry...
