There's a "British Store" about 30 mins from me. I went there 5 years ago and got a Chistmas Pudding. For a fortune! Not worth the effort!

Interesting. My old man was an EE at Bae. One of his mates/colleagues got a job with Boeing in Seattle. Sorry that was 40+ years ago and I have no idea what the transfer involved. But incidentally...

I don't dispute the Boris story!
But in the past I have got on planes with my us passport and got off with my uk one. And vice versa!

I am a dual uk/US citizen. I make a point of renewing my passports every 5 years (10 year validity but I alternate!)
Most passports i still have lying around. Thats not because they are useful....

I kind of agree but again 20+ years ago. I got on with a temp agency and I got placed in a few top companies.
First time I got fired I was counting votes in Florida for GWB in 2004!

I tend to agree with both Rete and Christmas. I don't believe the rules have changed in 21 years, but the government interpretation of the rules lately does not favor the immigrant!

not entirely accurate. I was able to work for a while but it expired upon marriage which changed my status. And agree on can't leave usa. Our honeymoon was in key west!

From personal experience I recommend applying for citizenship vs extending green card. Although I did it 12 years ago and it might be different now, might as well go for it!

I don't disagree with any previous posts, but I do know of a UK couple that owned a "villa" near Orlando, which we rented for a couple of weeks ago few years ago.
so maybe buy a house, rent it out...

I was a K1 90 day fiance visas, 20 ago & USC for last 12 years.
Arguably if I get a parking ticket, ICE could deport me to Rwanda!!

I saw that too. Not that I have h1b experience, but this new policy seems to undermine the whole point of these visas!
