Congrats on the PR card, thats fab news.
For me the CIC website was on a super go slow ysterday as well, anyway i kept at it and PR time lines have changed yet again.

Check the CIC website, it says 105 days plus UPTO 6 weeks for mailing for people getting their first PR card!

I had read what CIC said and the wiki on here plus searched afew threads, most said flying would be fine but i just dont want to risk it. I would take all necessary paperwork with me, i dont mind .

Ill ask my husband if we can fly from bellingham airport to new york, we live about 20mins from the US boarder.

Im a Britsh citizen.

I dont fancy flying to canada...

I got my COPR in the post 7th jan, i have to 'land' or 'activate' it by 14 june 2016.
My husband and i have spoken about when i should return, and we have decided that i will return to canada...

Hi, I just signed for a recorded delivery and it's my COPR.
Just have to book a flight and go back.

I only just got DM 20th Dec 2015, so I'm waiting patiently for the COPR to arrive in the post. I'm still in the UK and will join my husband in the summer.

I agree with the above, you gave it your best shot, you tried it & now you have that experience & knowledge under your belt.
I did voluntary work whilst in Vancouver, and the people were so lovely...

Do your Medicals right towards the end when you are near completing your whole application & it's all ready to send off therefore maximising the time on your medical.
