In My case they took away my old SIN Card.. it was sort of no longer valid.

However I was told they are phasing the cards away... so in your case you will no longer get a card but just the paper...

Yes was just an online print out...

My passport is the Biometric one... not sure if this makes a difference. Mind you one of our passports dated back to 96...

They did not ask for proof of funds - I however had a bank statement ready just incase. (Even though it does not apply to our case).

Yeah it has been a bit of a bumpy ride for me, however the PR side couldn't have gone any smoother.

A lot had happened in 15 months....

Will call tomorrow as per Siouxie's response, to see how long it will take. I heard that appointments are 2-3 weeks away. Will find out if it is still the same.

One thing I did is that I sent an email to query whether meds were received ok.

I had a friend who waited for over 3 months but nothing happened, only to find out that his medical file...

Got my CPR in the post today. :rofl:

I have to leave and re-enter to get my PR at port of entry.

They did not request passports - not even copies - mind you they should already have copies that...

Just a thought really!!! can you get the medicals done after you are back?

Hopefully by then they would have responded to your case specific email.

To answer your passport query I read somewhere that submitting passports is no longer required if the applicant is from a Visitor Visa-Exempt country.

Also it looks like the waived the interview...
