Re: Brown snake!!! :-)

I missunderstood that comment then. Sorry. As for the inaccessability of resources, fair enough, although the snake catcher would only feature for me when a snake is in the house or really has set up...

Re: Brown snake!!! :-)

No, currently I don't (nearly there though). But before you give me any more of the you don't know what it's like attitude - as a child I lived in India and as a grown up I have worked outdoors in...

What is wrong with simply leaving it be and...

Re: Brown snake!!! :-)

So do you kill any snake or snake-like creature that comes into your vicinity without knowing what it is?

You do realise that quite a few are actually protected by law, including some deadly...

Re: Are you unhappy after emigrating to Australia and...

Fair enough, hadn't considered the anonymous factor. Glad to hear you're in a better place. Did not mean to discourage anyone with my comments.

I can see that.

Re: Are you unhappy after emigrating to Australia and...

That is not how I meant it. I meant the people saying yes and yes would possibly be taking the piss, not those who actually are unhappy and are here for sympathy. Just think it is unlikely for people...

Re: Are you unhappy after emigrating to Australia and...

To be honest, who is going to tick yes and yes? Do you really think anyone would admit to that other than taking the piss?

Re: Best private and government schools in Adelaide please.

I've been told by quite a few Adelaideans that Brighton High is really sought after, which also means house prices in the area are a bit higher.

Re: Australian citizenship cancels British nationality!

A British citizen cannot loose their nationality unless under quite dramatic circumstances, but because there is the whole ex-Empire thing some people are not "full" British citizens. These are...

Re: Applying for citizenship by conferral as the child of a former Australian citizen

Thanks Jilliebee! Yes, am moving to Australia later this year. Have to wait for the certificate before I can apply for a passport. Hopefully still have just enough time to get it all done.

:)

Documents submitted (certified copies):
Birth certificate...

Re: Citizenship Resumption Query (Form 132)

Thanks Moneypenny. I am in London, so the high commission is right here. I was just worried that since it would be a first time application it would take longer.

Also, any ideas what to do if the...

Re: Citizenship Resumption Query (Form 132)

Thanks for the info. This is a little worrying. Should my citizenship be granted by early September it would mean I would only get the certificate by around the end of October and I am flying out to...

Re: Citizenship Resumption Query (Form 132)

Wow that is over 4 months it took them to process your application. Their service standard is only 77 days. Did they get in touch with you at all during this period?

Doesn't make me hopeful to...

Re: Free books for your Kindle (or Kindle app/PC programme)

Re: Impact of multiple credit cards?

This is true. They have the sole rights. Even existing cash machines had to close as far as I know. The Olympics, the game for "amateur" sportspeople... while the IOC rakes in the cash.
