Re: Car auto insurance, levels of cover recommended?

Interesting, this adds about $38 to my premium, and eventually I will have medical insurance through the work scheme.

So via AIG/Travelguard I've been quoted $599 on our international driving...

Re: ds160

You need to upload a photo of each person. So if you haven't done that you know you still have work to do.

At the end of your DS-160 there was an option to add a new person. In the end I found...

Re: Confused about tax - UK/US

As I understand it the country where the income is earned gets first dibs on any tax.

And so you would need to submit a UK tax return for the rent. Because you both own the house, one assumes you...

There is MG in the USA? You mean the MG6?

Re: Auto or stick shift In San Jose Area, CA?

It's something I'd considered and BMW and SAAB have a clutchless manual (SMG) but they have a thumping great hydraulic pump for shoving the clutch and gears around, and it breaks at $800 ish just for...

Re: Holidays and sick days?

And so do people usually bring in a doctors note or call in sick each day?

I assume they don't just call in on Monday and say "erm, I'm sick and I won't be back till next Monday morning "

Re: Haggling down on a used car in CA.

I'm reading with interest. This is a great forum for tips and thick and fast banter!
