I definitely think that everyone should check out NFU Mutual as you have all given it such rave reviews! Perhaps BE's owner should negotiate special rates for BE Members

As dunroving...

Re: It's been a week.....

I agree completely - but it's the fact that Civic's you can modify...cruise around council estates with loud exhausts and LED lighting...driven by Chavs etc etc - I never understand it myself....

Re: It's been a week.....

Re: Simple non-wealthy retirement

I definitely think that is the way to go. I am not sure how expensive it is, but 90 day trip coverage can be as little as £50-75. So I can't imagein 4 months being more than £100. I would as you...

Re: Simple non-wealthy retirement

Have to ask, wouldn't decent annual travel insurance be better from the UK - it's much more affordable. Before you say "travel insurance covers trips up to 90 days" you can get a 4 month policy, my...

Re: Is it really that bad?

I remember one of my A Level Geography lessons where this very subject came up. The teacher insisted the UK had a Temperate climate (this is by chance when the heating wasn't working so we were...

Re: Is it really that bad?

I can't speak for others, but I will say that weather and the feeling of hot and cold is subjective and depends on the individual. However as others here have said, it can be too hot. Here in...

Re: It's been a week.....

Even if we keep our British accents after years abroad (like me!), these words and phrases infiltrate our vocabulary. It will take time to eradicate them! Perhaps I should say EXTERMINATE! Although...

Re: It's been a week.....

Thanks so much - yes the whole "occupation" causing insurances rates to fluctuate in the UK is ridiculous. Always has been. Sorry you have had a tough time. My partner is in Entertainment here in the...
