I have got the original agreement that he said he would sign then went back on. I have the email that says he is refusing permission for the children to leave. I ask and ask for him to use email...

He has already changed what I offered, 4 weeks in the summer, to flexible when they visit due to work commitments! He managed 3 weeks off in a row last summer. He is supposed to have them two...

That is the point, he HAS withdrawn his consent because he is arguing that i now pay out more and more.

OK thank you for the interesting perspectives. I do feel obligated to pay for the children's visits and am prepared to do just that. I did hope that maybe he cared enough about his children to come...

I have offered to pay for the kids to visit him in the summer, I will pay for the oldest daughter to visit me too. I know it must not be easy for him to see his children move away and it's not easy...

Well when I look on the USCIS website, the processing time does indeed still say 5 months and I read somewhere on there that unless it gives a date of the applications they are last working on then...

My information came from telephoning the helpline number and they were able to tell us the date of the applications they were currently working on and they advised us it would be possibly another 2...

Yes still waiting. Am expecting it to take atleast 6.5 months so that makes it mid March :( California still shows it takes 5 months but we called and were told they were just starting on 7th July...

Thanks everyone. Can't order it yet anyway, need a chequebook! Bank want £10 for a bankers draft so will wait for a couple of weeks for my new cheque book to arrive. What a pain they do not offer...

Thanks for the replies. Guess we have to just wait it out for now. My fiance says he is going to call USCIS again next week in the hope he gets someone a little more knowledgeable.
