I actually quite liked this site, and alot of people have been very helpful...but unfortunately there some people (seems to be the same ones over and over) who constantly bicker, make snide remarks...

yep, because luckily my landlady dropped the rent by 50 quid when i signed a longer lease! Sorry, didnt realise i had to update you all everytime my outgoings change...will know for the future! :rofl:

I'd be suprised too...however i dont think anyone stated that on this thread!? I remember stating that I pay 500 pm for my rent and bills, not rent including bills. But of course im sure you werent...

The majority of people in my neighbourhood are italian, french, portuguese and south american (argentinians, chileans etc), and of course spanish. Im sure that alot of the south americans came to...

Then you should be fully aware of the thousands of people living in the city centre on low incomes, myself included. You only have to take one quick walk around the city centre to see that.

I dont want your pity thanks, i was making the point that because she has a terminal illness i go to extra lengths to make sure her life is happy and enjoyable. Thats the whole reason I moved here...

It actually is very doable for a single person. I live alone (well, including my young daughter) and it is adequate for me! My rent and bills come to 500 which leaves me with 300 pm for food etc! And...

Agreed, €800 pm is plenty to live on! I live on that and I have a child to support also! Rent and bills comes to €500 pm, so im left with €300 pm for food etc. Plenty!

Yes they certainly do! She knows loves the fact that she can speak a language that I cant (well, I can...but not as good as her!) so she uses that to her advantage! :lol:

I wouldnt worry about the school situation at all! Myself and my daughter moved here last year and she started in the local public school aged 5. She went in without 1 word of spanish, and now 8...
