Thank you If1, I will keep everyone posted. I have a long mental list of the 'pros and cons' of 'staying vs leaving'. Your right....I need to remind myself the reasons for wanting to go home.

Hello, Rusty Chainsaw, Relocating is hard work. Towards the end I just donated a lot of stuff to charity etc. The hardest part isn't quite over yet. I do hope it's all worth it in the end.

I've been back to visit the UK several times and found the locals to be very friendly and curious. Almost all asked me the same question...."what are you doing visiting here when I could be traveling...

Does your Grandson already have both a US and UK passport?
Generally you need the signature of both parents to obtain passports for children.

Thanks for the encouraging feedback. I expect things will be tough after being gone for so long. At least I'll be back in my home country and live closer to family.

I'm ready to move while the kids are still young and have them attend UK schools etc. It might be more difficult to move once they are older and more set in their ways. I hope that it works out for...
