my apologies olive, I assumed it was a line of sight system like we have here in the guadalhorce valley - we normally only get 20mb/s with ours, any big dowloads take hours.

Apples and oranges olive, sorry - hispasat gives what, upto 20mbs? With line of sight to a tower.

Star Link is 150mbs-300mbs and it can be used anywhere in the world, pointing up to the sky.

I did the exact same in our town house, it used to be cheaper, but now its crept up to 65/month for landline/fibre/100gb mobile, then i have a 2nd mobile for 10 more.

the pump and the tank (1000L square tank) is no more than 300€ you might have to pay delivery on the tank ?. 20m of pipe and a few fittings.. under 400€ for parts.

We dont see it much "on the coast" (yes, im in alhaurin / cartama, 20 -30 km from the coast).. but when im in antequera, mollina, estepa, casariche, seville, granada.. its "normal" to seee GC agents...

thankyou for the advice, but our house has a smart meter. its capped at 2.2kw, we just know how to use power.

I used to work with an electrician, so yes, i could do any "bypass" or "self upgrade"...

My parents town house still runs 2.2kw, and has hardly ever tripped.

You get used to not using everything at once, hes got gas water heating, but an electric hob, microwave, kettle, washing...

When we were in porto alot of the resturants assumed we were tourists, my missus is from porto, so when they brought over the plate of pates / olives etc, that they charge for even if you dont touch...

to be honest, i would probably recomend to buy new here.

things like nikki clarcke hair products etc, that are super expensive, no.. but things like the toaster or kettle.. of course.
