I spoke to a UK accountant about this back in 2006 and he told me if you sell your Uk house from Australia ie your living in Australia then you won't pay any tax even if were liable for it as Uk...

I checked united.com, award and Aeroplan and they all showed first class open for every leg. Would love to try LH F but that's obviously not going to happen but UA F looks ok with me and I'm fine...

I have an award booking to Chicago via Europe booked for next year with a stopover in Frankfurt - I have just organised my own flights to LHR from FRA.

Yeah the single wont be cheap! Unless you can use a budget airline to SE Asia?

Cant remember exactly how much i paid for the single but it was probably around 70% of a return fare! Still over...

I usually fly with Emirates, at least twice a year, back home upgrading to business from Sydney to Dubai using my skywards miles and then usually put up with economy...
