It's just not the same set up in canada...you can't take courses that are a year ahead of your grade, just doesn't happen that way.

Surely if there is a Japanese 30 class, there is a Japanese 20...

It has been the longest and most frustrating process of my life so far...London office more than once made mistakes on our file and it's such a weight lifted to have it all...

OUrs states if they aren't Canadian Citizens THEN they require the passports.

Four out of Five of us are Canadians (with citizen cards)....so I assume and read that they will only need my...

Ah okay, thought this was something else (never heard the ECAS before)

yeah, this has never been able to find our file either for some reason, despite numerous variations.

probably would have been better to send it recorded delivery...but in a nutshell..no way to know.

It took them about 7-8 months to get ours back in the mail with notification it had been...

We have a similar situation although not similar charges, my husband served 3 years of a 6 year sentence.

The important bit is how long it COULD cause if the same offence had been charged in...

Thank you! That is at least more hopeful...cheap flight to London to drop it off will be more affordable than a month and a half worth of mortgage to be paid!

We have our MP (from Canada in the town we now own a home in!) chasing everything for us, I do believe there is a lawyer in that office.

Our immigration laywer in Canada was only hired to deal...

Our last step will be sending my husband's passport in....our local MP thought the timeframe would be 2 weeks...but here I am reading up to 6 weeks??

We have had no formal letter that states the decision to say he can't enter Canada has been overruled, unless our appeal decision allows this?

As far as I'm aware, he'd be turned away upon...

Thanks for the welcome...I had to find somewhere to vent my frustrations, I'm in tears DAILY over this.

Last year my mother was diagnosed with Cancer, at the same time that my husband recieved...

Oh and if you get a lawyer they will attend on your behalf. I chose to fly to Toronto to attend my hearing, and they used a speaker phone to call my husband for his testimony. *hubby is still not...

Get in touch with an immigration lawyer that can help you, that is a MUST. We have had to go through the same thing and despite completing the rehabilitation forms they weren't even processed.
