re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

There is also the Right of Permanent Residence fee, which I had requested 2 months after my partner was approved to sponsor me. If you look out for "RPRF requested" on the spreadsheet you'll see how...

I got my Confirmation of Permanent Residence in the mail today. I'd like to thank Siouxie, SchnookoLoly, markstimson, orly and anyone else who responded to my questions, this forum has...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Update:

I just checked ecas, it now says "decision made". This must have happened in the last few days.

I'll update again when I actually get a letter. Hopefully it will be good news!

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Update:

I checked ecas today, for the first time in a few weeks, it has now changed to "In Process". It says that they started processing my application on December 30th (though they requested...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Awesome! I'm pretty sure I read something to that effect a while ago, but I couldn't find it again, and I'm always vaguely suspicious that rules might have changed in the meanwhile.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Cheers for that, it's reassuring. I'm at the point now where I'm having to look into extending my visitor visa while awaiting my letter (and trying to work out if there are any consequences to doing...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I keep seeing references to the "notorious unreliability" of ecas. Is this unreliability in the sense that people have had paperwork arrive while it still says "application received", or are people...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I can only check mine using my partner's details (I think of it as "my" application, but I think as far as the immigration people are concerned the whole thing is her application to sponsor me).

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Update to my timeline: just got an email asking for another RCMP fingerprint check. Presumably either the one I submitted originally expired (I can't remember how long they're valid for), or someone...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I don't know whether Ecas being unreliable makes it less stressful to see no change, or more!

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Oh, well... clearly I'm a bit under-researched.

Cheers for pointing that out! I guess this means it is on hold then. I'm glad I didn't waste any time in mailing the certificate off!

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

I sent them the receipt, but I foolishly sent it regular mail instead of registered, so I now have the paranoid feeling that they might not have received it. They probably do have it, or else I'd...

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland

Re: Extending work permit during PR application

I'm in a similar situation; 2nd year of an IEC visa, getting the paperwork together for a common law spousal sponsorship, and worrying about being able to stay and work in the grey area between one...

Re: International Experience Canada

After over 13 weeks of waiting (and suspiciously soon after sending a polite but pissed off letter), I have a letter of introduction!

Re: International Experience Canada

OH? I never saw any such rule in the paperwork or online, but admittedly the immigration website is possibly the least good source of information on Earth. Also, my girlfriend found out about the IEC...

Re: International Experience Canada

I'm in the same position. I've had no more luck emailing the High Commission than anyone else here, but I sent them a letter the other day asking if they've lost my application.
I also pointed out...

Re: International Experience Canada

I think you're right, stage 2 is when they ship to London. I think the 6 week processing time is meant to be 2 in Paris, 4 in London.
Unfortunately they don't seem to reply to email inquiries. I...

Re: International Experience Canada

It's been 12 weeks and 5 days since my "evaluation phase 1 complete" email, which means I'm actually 14 weeks over. No response to email or either of the webforms I filled in.
Not knowing what...
