Thanks for the reply, I spoke to a lady in H&R block an she said not to claim at all for my wife on those forms. She said to leave it to my wife's seperate tax return.

I've not been to Lethbridge and have heard good and bad about it so to judge
a place you really have to put 'boots on ground'. I'm moving to red deer in 2

Just arrived in Canada and no idea what city we'll settle in but I need a

thanks.... it seems getting the SIN will be quite straight forward. One thing
the immigration official did say to me at the airport was that I had to be at
the address where my PR card is being...

Landed in toronto yesterday.... thursday must be a good day to land, no line-ups any where. I'd say I was 20-30 mins total becoming a landed immigrant. Completely painless shouldn't have worried...

Well done on the big move, we'll be moving from dublin to canada this July
and my one issue I don't know much about is kids & school... we've 2 3yr

thanks, I'm landing on Thursday in Toronto and I'm just going over everything
in detail. So correct me if I'm wrong but the one picture attached to your COPR
is copied and used as the picture...

did you have to pay a fee for the PR card, I saw somewhere that there
was a $50 fee per card? Also what questions were you asked by
the immigration official?

I haven't used it yet, I'm due to travel on tuesday next week to Calgary, it's just that the travel document number mentioned on my COPR refers to my cancelled passport number.
